Doug Ferreira, N6PRT became a Silent Key on October 21, 2021 after a long fight with multiple illnesses.  Doug joined the CCRA in January 1988 and served the membership as an Association Officer, Technical Committee Member and Net Control.  Doug contributed many hours of time to building and rebuilding antenna systems and repeater enclosures.  He built work benches and scrounged tons of materials needed to build out the CCRA repeater system.

Doug worked at Matson Navigation Company and was instrumental in the quick rebuilding of the Oakland Pier after the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake.  Doug was a good friend, told great stories and was a pleasure to know as a friend.  He will be greatly missed…
