Here’s what’s happening…

Our newest member is Bill Fenech, AI6JZ is from San Ramon. He wasn’t able to make the breakfast but will try to do so at the August breakfast. He is a long-time ham who is getting reactivated so when you hear him please welcome him to the group.

Glen Rickerd, NO6W of Pittsburg is on the mend after an illness. We wish him a speedy recovery.

One of the biggest surprises of the meeting was a letter and donation from the East Bay Amateur Radio Club for the use of the repeater system in their support of the Grizzley Peak Century ride on May 3rd of this year.  Randy Jenkins, KA6BQF who is the Treasurer of EBARC made the presentation during the breakfast.  All of us are very appreciative of the support from the  EBARC and the Grizzley Peak Cyclists.  We are very pleased that the repeater was of use to them in their public service activity and we look forward to working with them in the future!

The CCRA is gratified to have so many wonderful members and look forward to seeing everyone at our next breakfast on August 22nd at Legends & Heroes Sports Bar at 9 AM. Legends is located at at the Diablo Creek Golf Course at 4050 Port Chicago Highway in North Concord.

For the middle of summer we had a respectable turnout of 15 members for our monthly breakfast!
